The official season line is a snapshot
The WNBA's player page showed Hull at 5.5 points, 3.2 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game when checked on August 9. Indiana's live roster page displayed the same three averages beside No. 10. Because the regular season is still moving, these numbers should carry their access date. A later reader may meet a different decimal.
The comparison point is 2025, a completed season. Indiana's April re-signing announcement says Hull set career highs of 7.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.2 steals per game that year. She also recorded her first regular-season double-double and her first postseason double-double. The Fever release supplies those finished-season figures.
A loud plus-minus needs a quiet disclaimer
Plus-minus is the team's scoring margin during a player's minutes. Hull's plus-26 means Indiana outscored Chicago by 26 while she was on the floor. It does not mean she personally created 26 points, nor does one game settle her value. Lineups share the number. Matchups, substitutions and a few bounces can tug it sharply in either direction.
Still, it would be silly to throw the figure away. Indiana won by four, and the box score shows Aliyah Boston next among Fever players at plus-23. Hull's five points arrived alongside six rebounds, one block and only one turnover. The pleasant little surprise is not that five secretly equals twenty-six. It is that a low-scoring line can contain several useful chores.
Read the columns in the right order
For a current check, start with the WNBA averages and stamp them August 9. For one-game detail, use the Chicago box score. For a fair year-to-year comparison, hold 2026 open and put it beside the completed 2025 line. That keeps a moving season from masquerading as a final report card.
Hull's present headline is 5.5 points per game. The fuller picture is 3.2 rebounds, a starting assignment in Chicago and one delightfully unruly plus-26. Statistics are better company when they are allowed to disagree a little.
