August 8 Powerball Numbers: 5, 9, 35, 54, 63
The red Powerball was 7 and the multiplier was 3x. Nobody took the jackpot, but five tickets landed the largest non-jackpot prizes.
Texas supplied the night's only $2 million ticket. Arizona, Florida, Michigan and New York each produced a $1 million Match 5 winner. The jackpot belonged to nobody. The drawn white balls were 5, 9, 35, 54 and 63, followed by a red 7, and Power Play was 3x. The official result page records the winners and every ball from Saturday, August 8, 2026.
| Result piece | August 8 value |
|---|---|
| White balls | 5, 9, 35, 54, 63 |
| Red Powerball | 7 |
| Power Play | 3x |
| Jackpot winners | None |
Five tickets reached the top non-jackpot tiers
No ticket matched all five white balls plus the red Powerball. One ticket sold in Texas matched the five white balls with Power Play and earned $2 million. Four more, sold in Arizona, Florida, Michigan and New York, matched the five white balls for $1 million each. Those states and prize levels appear in Powerball's national winner table.
The same table lists smaller prizes across the country, from $4 upward for the combinations shown. It does not break every tier down by state on that page. So it supports a narrow statement about Ohio: Ohio is not listed among the five Match 5 prize locations. It does not support claiming that Ohio had no winners at lower levels.
The jackpot number changed as the drawing settled
Pre-draw coverage used an estimated $856 million annuity. AS USA's August 9 result article retains that earlier advertised figure. The official archived drawing page now shows an estimated $864 million, with a $374.1 million cash value. Those are successive estimates for the same completed drawing, not two prizes.
After the rollover, the Powerball home page moved to an estimated $905 million annuity and $391.9 million cash value for Monday, August 10. It schedules that drawing for 10:59 p.m. Eastern. In Ohio, the sales pool closes at 10 p.m., according to the state draw schedule.
Check locally before celebrating
Powerball says official winning numbers are observed by an independent accounting firm and that tickets must be redeemed in the jurisdiction where they were sold. Ohio provides its own drawings page for a local check. For draw games, the state currently allows 180 days from the drawing date to cash a ticket. Ohio's claim page gives the deadline and collection steps.
There is no jackpot winner to announce from August 8. There is, however, a pleasing little sequence to remember: two single digits, a leap into the thirties, two big white balls, then that compact red 7. Check the ticket against the official page. Let the balls keep their small bit of theater, and let the verified result do the talking.
