Pokémon Anniversary Events Still Ahead in 2026
Four outdoor stops are already complete. The calendar now turns toward two big music nights in Los Angeles and London.
The picnic-blanket phase is over. The bass-heavy phase is coming. Pokémon's official 30th-anniversary calendar shows all four Day Out gatherings as completed by August 14, while two Night Out concerts remain ahead. That makes the current event picture pleasantly simple: the roaming daytime series has closed its loop, and the announced evening series starts in Los Angeles on October 24.
The two dates still glowing
- Los Angeles
- October 24, 2026 at Intuit Dome
- London
- November 10, 2026 at The O2
- Announced lineup
- Marshmello with Alison Wonderland at both events
Four afternoons already in the scrapbook
The official Day Out page lists four completed stops. Bordeaux hosted the first on June 27 and 28. Brooklyn Bridge Park's Pier 6 in New York City followed from July 24 through 26, then Dresden on August 1 and 2 and Mexico City on August 8 and 9. The format mixed photo moments, games, activities, challenges and giveaways. No ticket-price guesswork is needed for a past event, and no future Day Out stop is currently listed there.
Earlier anniversary events found different ways outdoors. Pokémon GO ran its 30th-anniversary event from March 3 at 10 a.m. through March 9 at 8 p.m. local time, with an All Out period from March 7 through 9. The official game announcement included Kanto encounters and Pikachu in Red and Leaf hats. A tiny borrowed hat on a familiar yellow head is not a grand historical gesture. It is, however, a very good reason to walk around the block.
Japan also had an early tactile stop. TOMY held a free anniversary Pop-Up Park at Tobu Department Store Ikebukuro from March 5 through 11. Its company release promised toys to see and touch, a figure diorama and photo spots. The event coincided with a product range that revived TOMY's 1997 Pikachu plush at roughly 40 centimeters tall. That is the kind of detail a calendar square cannot quite contain.
Two loud nights remain
The Pokémon Night Out page names Marshmello as headliner and Alison Wonderland as support for both dates. The first is October 24 at Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. The second is November 10 at The O2 in London. Those are the venue, date and lineup details the organizer has published. The page links onward for tickets, but an event announcement cannot guarantee live inventory or a particular price. Check the linked ticket seller before arranging travel.
Why the day-and-night split works
Pokémon's anniversary date comes from the February 27, 1996 release of Red and Green in Japan, as Nintendo's account confirms. That first audience has grown up, while children keep meeting the franchise fresh. Day Out and Night Out do not pretend those groups want the same Saturday. One offered park games and photo moments. The other offers an arena-scale electronic dance show.
The split feels more generous than forcing every age into one all-purpose festival. Families had daylight and room to roam. Dance fans get two late-year nights with a clear musical identity. A 30-year-old franchise can afford two curfews. That may be the sweetest item on this calendar: one party ends with a folded picnic blanket, and another begins when the lights come up.
