148 of 162 Phillies games aired on local TV in 2026
Most nights the Phillies live on NBC Sports Philadelphia. Here is why a handful of games jump to FOX, ESPN, NBC, Apple TV or Netflix, and how to stream either kind.
Saturday night's Phillies game against Tampa Bay was not on NBC Sports Philadelphia. MLB's own schedule data lists it on FOX and FOX One for a 7:15 p.m. first pitch, with wild-card math hanging on the result, while Sunday's 3:05 p.m. finale sits right back on NBC Sports Philadelphia. If you went looking for the Phillies game this week and found the wrong channel, I understand completely. The map is genuinely odd, so I read through the broadcast schedules to lay it out once, in one place.
Start with the split. When NBC Sports Philadelphia published the 2026 plan on March 19, it counted 148 of the 162 regular-season games for the local family: NBC Sports Philadelphia, NBC Sports Philadelphia Plus and NBC10. The other 14 were set aside for national partners. Nearly every channel question traces back to that one division.
| Outlet | Phillies games in the March 2026 plan |
|---|---|
| NBC Sports Philadelphia, NBCSP Plus, NBC10 | 148 |
| FOX | 4 |
| ESPN | 3 |
| NBC / Peacock | 3 |
| Peacock only | 1 |
| Apple TV | 2 |
| Netflix | 1 |
Why a home team's game can vanish from home TV
National partners buy exclusivity. The network's own streaming help page says NBC Sports Philadelphia carries most regular-season games except the national exclusives, and those exclusives are the whole point of what FOX, NBC, ESPN, Apple and Netflix pay for. When one of them takes a window, the regional channel simply does not air that game.
Each partner owns a recognizable slot. FOX and FS1 carry a regular-season package plus the All-Star Game. TBS has Tuesday nights. Apple TV streams Friday Night Baseball doubleheaders. ESPN has a new midweek package that runs only on its own networks and app. NBC now has Sunday Night Baseball, and Peacock has an 18-game Sunday Leadoff package that starts around noon Eastern. Once you know the day of the week, you can usually guess the channel.
The 2026 reshuffle that made the map stranger
Much of the confusion is new. On November 19, 2025, MLB announced three-year deals for 2026 through 2028 with ESPN, NBCUniversal and Netflix. Sunday Night Baseball left ESPN, where it had aired since 1990, for NBC. Netflix picked up Opening Night, the Home Run Derby and one special event game a year. ESPN kept a weekday package and took over selling MLB.TV. That is a lot of furniture moved in one winter.
My favorite detail sits in the history section of MLB's own announcement. On August 26, 1939, Red Barber called a Dodgers and Reds doubleheader on W2XBS, an experimental New York station that later became NBC's flagship, WNBC. It was the first MLB television broadcast ever. So the newest name on the Phillies' schedule is also the oldest one in the sport, back for its first regular run on the broadcast network in a quarter century.
The night the Phillies game was on Netflix
The single Netflix game was the one worth a borrowed password. On August 13, 2026, the Phillies played the Twins at the MLB at Field of Dreams Game in Dyersville, Iowa. Yahoo Sports noted it was the first time that game had not been on traditional television. Kyle Schwarber led off the night with a home run into the corn, hit a second one later, and Brandon Marsh added a two-run shot in a 7-1 Phillies win. Aaron Nola gave five strong innings.
The best part had nothing to do with the score. MLB.com's report says 26 Hall of Famers took part in the pregame ceremony, and after the final out Twins infielder Kody Clemens played catch on the field with his father, Roger Clemens. Losing team, happy ending. Baseball does that more than it gets credit for.
Streaming a Phillies game, at home or away
- Inside the Phillies' home TV territory, with a pay-TV login: the NBC Sports app is the authenticated streaming home for games on NBC Sports Philadelphia, and the network's help page also points to Hulu, Peacock and YouTube TV.
- Inside the territory, without cable: PHILLIES.TV streams NBC Sports Philadelphia's game coverage, with pregame and postgame shows, through the MLB App under a partnership MLB and NBC Sports Regional Networks announced in 2025. On September 1, 2026, MLB.com announced a lower seasonal price of $24.99 for the rest of the year.
- Outside the territory: MLB.TV is the league's out-of-market service, and under the new deal ESPN sells it. It is built for fans outside the home market, which is why in-market fans use the options above instead.
- On national exclusive nights: follow the partner. Saturday's September 26 game, for example, is listed on FOX and the FOX One streaming service rather than any Phillies-branded feed.
- On the radio: MLB's schedule data lists 94 WIP for Phillies home radio, along with 106.1 Rumba.
I checked prices only where an official page stated them, and I left out figures that change by provider or promotion. If a number matters to your wallet, confirm it on the checkout page.
When the local channel steps aside for good
October is different. NBC Sports Philadelphia's own help page says postseason games belong to MLB's national TV and streaming partners, so a Phillies playoff game will not be on the regional channel at all. We wrote a separate page on that handoff, round by round, because it deserves more than a footnote.
Whether the Phillies get there was still open when this page was written. At 8 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, NBC Sports Philadelphia's tracker had them 87-73, one game ahead of Arizona for the last National League wild card, with a magic number of two. Arizona holds the tiebreaker, so the Phillies need a better record, not a tie. I do not know how the weekend ends, and I am not going to guess on this page.
One more Philadelphia thread runs through the new TV deal. MLB's rights announcement placed the 2026 All-Star Game at Citizens Bank Park and moved the Home Run Derby the day before it to Netflix. A season that put the All-Star Game in the Phillies' ballpark and a Schwarber homer in an Iowa cornfield, with Netflix carrying both the Derby and the corn, is a nice little rhyme.
So here is the rule of thumb I would hand a friend. Start at NBC Sports Philadelphia. If the game is not there, check the day of the week, because the league sold that night to a partner with a bigger map, and the partner's name is almost always hiding in the slot.
