What Is VARO Entertainment, Jeongyeon's New Agency?
VARO is a six-year-old actor-management and production company with a familiar face on its roster. Its July moving notice offers a charmingly ordinary glimpse inside.

For the month of July, even the fan mail had to pause. VARO Entertainment was moving offices, and its official notice told fans that letters, gift books, donation certificates and packages could not be accepted from July 1 through July 31, 2026. A later notice supplied the new mailing address. It is a wonderfully ordinary detail for an agency suddenly attracting global attention because TWICE's Jeongyeon has joined it: somewhere behind the announcements, somebody was labeling boxes and redirecting envelopes.
A young company with an actor's center of gravity
VARO Entertainment says it was founded on June 1, 2020. Its company profile names two business areas, management and production. The management side supports artists across television drama, film, advertising, magazines, performances and other content. The production side develops screen projects and works with emerging actors. VARO also says it creates digital material tailored to each artist's identity.
That description explains why entertainment coverage routinely calls VARO an actor-focused agency. When the company confirmed a June 24 meeting with Jeongyeon, Soompi listed Byeon Woo-seok, Jin Goo and Lee Chae-min among its actors. Its own site also carries an extensive profile for Gong Seung-yeon, Jeongyeon's older sister, with television, film, theater and awards credits.
Why it fits the chapter Jeongyeon described
Jeongyeon confirmed the completed move on August 10. Soompi's report on her letter says VARO plans to support her continued TWICE activities as well as new acting challenges. That wording is the useful part. The contract is for a broader individual path, while her group identity remains central by her own account.
The acting direction did not appear from nowhere. On June 24, outlets reported that Jeongyeon had been cast in New Recruit: The Movie, described as her coming screen debut. ANTARA's account also recorded VARO's then-cautious position that a meeting had happened but no contract decision had been made. Six and a half weeks later, Jeongyeon supplied the decision herself.
The line the public record cannot cross
VARO has not published the length, financial terms or scheduling mechanics of Jeongyeon's agreement. No reliable source says Gong Seung-yeon arranged it. And a company that manages actors is not proof that every future project will be acting rather than music, television or something else. The official description is intentionally broad.
The clearest picture, then, is modest but encouraging. VARO is a relatively young management and production house built around screen work. Jeongyeon arrives with a reported film role, a wish to try something new and her sister already represented there. The fan letters, after their month in limbo, have a new front door too.
